Ayurveda and The Mind

The Ayurveda and the Mind Series takes place on-line or occasionally in person. It is a four part series that looks at the four parts of the mind from a Yogic and Ayurvedic perspective (Manas, Ahankara, Chitta, and Buddhi). We look at each part individually and then see how they work together to distract us from being the best version of ourselves or to help up to be our best Self. This is very hands on and practical information for everyone.

NEXT SERIES:

  • On-Line At-Your-Own-Pace Starts Any Time through Recorded Lectures and suggested Self-Work. Reach out to purchase access.
  • Autumn Four Part Series 2024 via Zoom: Dates and Times TBD.
  • $325/Series (Please request a Special Rate of $225 if money is tight); RSVP today.

Join us for monthly Mind Play Meetings to discuss the parts of the mind and how they relate in real life scenarios. We’ll continue to add to the concepts and see how they relate to your life. The Four Part Series is really just the teeny tip of the iceberg. It’s through continued study and practice with the parts and tools we’ve learned that the material becomes a lifelong journey toward a healthy mind and heart.

NEXT MIND PLAYS (via Zoom):

  • March 8th at 6pm: Taking the Material into “Real” Life; what should I read to learn more?
  • April 12th at 6pm: Qualities of Ahankara and “Sensitive” Behaviors; Getting to Know our Feelings
  • May 10th at 6pm: “Complaining” Behaviors
  • June 14th at 6pm: Theme TBD

Four Parts of the Mind Series: This class is open and useful to everybody with a Mind. There is no need to know anything about Ayurveda or Yoga!!! Just bring your mind and yourself! For each session, you’ll get a short and a long recording about the current “part of the mind” and short exercises to do at home. Then, we’ll meet on the scheduled dates to explore more as a supportive group. In person sessions will NOT be recorded to protect the privacy of attendees!

You’ll get really useful and practical tools to use in your own life to begin to bring the mind into balance and to learn to make the wisest choices in your life. We’ll learn how each part of the mind works and how to strengthen the “discerning” parts of the mind, instead of being ruled by the primal and fear-based sides of our mind.

We’ll also begin to understand people around us and their motivations a little bit better. We’ll see why we resonate with some people and not others. We’ll explore how to “play well” with others through a better understanding the mind’s natural tendencies. Much of the learning to work with others will be learned over the long term in the Mind Play Meetings.

There’s so much to explore…don’t miss this!!!
