If you missed last night’s Living Well: Practicing the Wisdom of Ayurveda here’s a sneak peek:
- We looked at the book we’ll be using for our explorations this year: Ayurveda Lifestyle Wisdom by Acharya Shunya.
- We looked at what is in each of our personal Toolbox of Wellness and did some “spring cleaning” for a fresh look and a fresh start in Self Care. Beginner’s Mind. Beginner’s Mind.
- We met the doshas as Sun, Moon, and Wind
- Sleep Quote: “moon blessed treasures on the way to heaven of sleep.”
- Quote: “never give away our power to any disease.”
- We looked at Ayurveda as both preventative and restorative.
- How healing happens in our day to day, month to month, year to year living.
- We talked about the art of wellness and compared to Claudia Welch’s wise words: the art makes the science more effective.
- We explored Ayurveda as “green medicine”. Hildegard of Bingen calls this type of medicine: Veritas: simply returning to the greening within each of us.
- Living in rhythm is living in peace.
- We learned how to begin to build a well lived day.
- Quote: “your being is a poetry of rhythms“.
- Just breathe.
We meet next month on the 3rd Friday, April 21st at 6pm, via Zoom or in-person (Hybrid; we meet every month through November; no August). Feel free to join them all or the ones you can attend. Next Month we’ll be looking at Chapter Two: Celebrating an Awakened Sky.
