October Updates

We’re headed into an exciting month. Tonight is the first full moon of the month and the next appears as a Blue Moon on Halloween (which is also “change the clocks back” night). In some Celtic traditions, Halloween (Samhain) is the last day of the old year and the new year begins on November first. Here’s to new beginnings!!

Speaking of new beginnings, look for special classes to pop up in the schedule. This month’s special class is for the full moon: a practice to celebrate halloween, Samhain (Summer’s End), the full blue moon (officially full at 10:49am), and a resetting of clocks for new beginnings. There will be a magical flavor to class. There will be a Celtic flavor to class. There will be a yogic flavor to class. Breathing, postures, meditation, and intentions! Join me 9:30 – 11 am on Saturday October 31st. Space is limited to 6. Please be sure to register and put yourself on the wait list if full; I will call in order of the wait list for unexpected openings.

It is likely to be a month of changes. So please keep your eyes peeled for schedule changes as we move from outdoor classes and temporary locations and our permanent settings. The most up to date information will be found on the website.

YOGA CLASSES:

Royalston Yoga, on Tuesday evenings at 6pm, will be moving back into the Royalston Church for the winter. Keep your eyes peeled for sign up instructions.

North Orange Yoga, Wednesday evenings at 6pm, is hoping to come back to the Church this month. Keep your eyes peeled mid month for details and sign up instructions.

Zoom Yoga continues each Monday. October is themed around Teachers and Lineage. The Zoom invite goes out each Monday morning to join the live session at 9:30am (if you are registered for October you already got a link to Monday’s class; if you didn’t you’re not registered so be sure to register). The recording posts in the later morning or early afternoon to be watched anytime during the week. This is a fantastic way to keep up on your personal practice.

TRAININGS:

Ayurveda 101 & Yoga is in session, but it’s not too late to sign up. This training is a ten week on-line series that can be begun any time. Next Zoom live calls are on October 18th and November 22nd. This training is open to anyone. It is required for all our 300hour Yoga Teacher Training students.

Trillium Ayurveda and Yoga teams up with Bit of Bliss Cape Cod to offer Yoga Teacher Trainings. 200 hour (to become a new teacher) and 300 hour (to up-level your 200 hour for a cumulative 500 hour Yoga Teacher certification) both begin in January. These trainings are each a minimum of a year long to give you the best possible experience with plenty of time to grow as a yoga teacher. For more on our ethics for teaching teachers, enjoy this blog post: TRUE NORTH.

Of note and new: We LOVE word of mouth to share the wisdom of yoga, Ayurveda, and our programs. To honor that, we are now offering incentives for recommending our programs. Please spread the word. If a new student uses your name as a referral and completes a training with us (including the on-line Ayurveda 101 and Yoga training), you will receive a cash gift as a Thank You.

Don’t forget to be stocked up for fall and winter. Vata Self Care Ayur-Kits come out this month (finally orders are due today) and here’s a link to my favorite supplier of Ayurvedic must haves: Banyan Botanicals

Wishing you all a wonderful October! Please don’t hesitate to reach out for more information on programs, classes, or appointments.

BeeWell and Do Yoga,

Charlotte
