For three days:
–eat your doshic or seasonal (it’s Vata time) diet (when in doubt eat seasonally)
–end your day with a mug or “shot” of triphala tea
If this is enough, continue this doshic diet and mug of triphala tea for the next 3 to 7 days. You may choose to do the food phases of the 9 days posted (doshic diet, to a kitchari & vegetable diet, to a plain kitchari/no vegetables diet). When you’re ready, ease out of your reset with good food and begin your Rasayana phase. These are good options, especially if you are in the midst of a stressful life (or have low strength) and are unable to “step out” of a full life for the deeper practices. It is enough (be true and kind to yourself: ahimsa and satya).
–OPTIONAL: Have 2 ounces of melted ghee each morning (ONLY if you are following through with a castor oil purge on the evening of day 6 or Basti on days 6, 7, & 8).
*Do not undertake a deep cleanse if your Bala (strength) is low in any way. Please consult with a qualified practitioner and your primary physician before you begin.
